Chestnut, fig, whey...
This is a Xmas gift for my colleagues. Originally I wanted to test the lathering potential of chestnut, but I was ut of enough olive oil for a 100% test batch.
But I had an other plan. I've collected some fig in the garden, milled the chestnut, and mixed all together with the whey. My oils are lower amount of coconut oil, virgin olive oil, lard, soybean, babassu and castor oils. I've used a fragrance oil named sweet fig&saffron, very sweet and fruity scent. I've mixed yellow and red clay to reach a saffron like colour that is similar to our logo's colours, that I wrote on the top of all bars. I've made a spoon swirl with the rest. If you make a quite translucent, gelled soap, an ITP or spoon swirl with a matte clay looks very unique. I like it!
